Meadowmere Robotics Talk Regional Experience

The Meadowmere Mechanical Maniacs ended their season at Regionals on Saturday, February 25th with 2nd highest score in robot game and all exemplary on the Core Values rubric.

“We didn't get to walk away with a trophy, but we are super proud of what our kids achieved,” said Carrie McDonald, Meadowmere Robotics Coach.

This is the 2nd year in a row that the team placed 2nd in robot game out of more than 40 teams.
McDonald says the team felt more confident this year solely because they had been to regionals the previous year and students felt like they knew what to expect and how the day would go.

“It was a long season with the weather delay, but we had a lot of fun and achieved some new goals.  This year we incorporated sensors to help with following lines and we used loops in our programming as well,” said McDonald.

Regionals is always a great experience, which allows kids get to share their work with other teams and with judges.
