Attendance
Regular and punctual attendance is necessary for students to develop self-discipline, responsibility, and work habits that will affect success throughout life. Students who have regular attendance generally achieve higher grades, enjoy school more, and are considered more desirable employees after leaving school. Frequent tardiness and/or early release disrupts the continuity of the instructional process and deters your child from enriching classroom participation. Much occurs in those first few minutes of the day and it sets the pace for a successful day for your child. It is tough to begin the morning already having to play catch-up.
To help us keep accurate attendance records, please call the school's attendance line at 816-316-5530.
Tardiness
Students arriving after 9:05 a.m. are considered tardy and must be signed into the school through the front
office. Following this procedure enables us to keep accurate attendance records and maintain safety for all of our students.
Transportation Changes
If there is a change to your child’s regular transportation from school, please send a note to school with your child letting us know of the change so that we make sure they get home safely. If someone other than those listed on your child’s enrollment form is to pick up your child, please send the name of the person picking up your child. If you need to make changes to your child’s transportation, please do so before 3:00 p.m. by calling 816-316-5525.
Visitors Information:
All visitors must register in the office upon entering the school building. To ensure the safety and well-being of our students, we kindly request that visitors present their identification, such as a driver's license or state ID, when they wish to speak with or sign out a student.
