Stephen Fielder has been Principal of Meadowmere Elementary School for 4 years now. Prior to this, he was an assistant principal at Grandview High School for five years. He was in charge of a Small Learning Community, the Perkins Grant, Core Data collection, senior activities and graduation, and student technology in the building, which included the 1:1 laptop initiative. Mr. Fielder began his educational career as a mathematics and social studies teacher at Grandview High School for 12 years.
Mr. Fielder received his Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State) in 1998. He then received his Master of Arts in School Leadership degree from Baker University in 2006. In 2009, he earned a second Master’s degree (Curriculum & Instruction) from the University of Phoenix. Recently, Fielder finished his Specialist Degree in Administrative Leadership for Teaching and Learning from Walden University.
Mr. Fielder is a family man and has been married for 20 years on July 17th. He has four children (Emily, Seth, Adam, and Joel) with his wife, Kelly. He loves soccer, football, and baseball, and enjoys going to movies and traveling.
His goal is to continue to excel as a school principal and develop a school that focuses on high academic achievement and community involvement.
