Stephen Fielder recently completed his first year as Principal of Meadowmere Elementary School. Prior to this, he was an assistant principal at Grandview High School for five years. He was in charge of a Small Learning Community, the Perkins Grant, Core Data collection, senior activities and graduation, and student technology in the building, which included the new 1:1 laptop initiative. Mr. Fielder began his educational career as a mathematics and social studies teacher at Grandview High School for 12 years.
Mr. Fielder has received his Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State) in 1998. He then received his Master of Arts in School Leadership degree from Baker University in 2006. In 2009, he earned a second Master’s degree (Curriculum & Instruction) from the University of Phoenix. Currently, Fielder is working on his Doctorate in Administrative Leadership for Teaching and Learning from Walden University. He hopes to finish this degree within the next year.
Mr. Fielder is a family man and has been married for 17 years. He has four children (Emily, Seth, Adam, and Joel) with his wife, Kelly. He loves soccer, football, and baseball, and enjoys going to movies and traveling.
His goal is to continue to excel as a school principal and develop a school that focuses on high academic achievement and community involvement.
